- After her movies in the 20s followed a longer interruption before she continued her film career in the sound film era of the 30s.
- She joined the film business in 1922 where she took part in the legendary production "Nosferatu" (22) directed by Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau where she played the role of a nurse in hospital. The leading role was impersonated by her husband Max Schreck who created with it one of the most impressive horror figures in film history.
- She began her career at the theater where she got positive reviews by the critics although she rarely was engaged for leading roles.
- Besides her activity as an actress Fanny Schreck also worked regularly for the radio.
- Her last cinematical works came in the 40s.
