Mellany Gandara

Mellany Gandara joined the Academy of Art after school program at the
age of eight where she studied piano, singing, dancing, and acting. By
age eleven, she choreographed her first dance piece for an audience of
four hundred. Her dance resume includes TV Shows, the House of Blues,
music videos, as well as over thirty stage performances. She appeared
in multiple plays including "West Side Story" and "La Femme de Gilles."
Her film debut began in Europe and continued in San Francisco where she
relocated to pursue acting (ACT/ Actor's Theatre) while graduating Cum
Laude from college in just three years. Gandara has worked with Jerry
Zucker, John Favreau, and other respected directors in commercials, tv,
and movies. Her most recent work is playing Sophie in the comedy
"Foreign Exchange" a movie about high school exchange students. She
also landed a role in the Marvel epic "Iron Man." As a model, Gandara
booked a C&A campaign and a 2008 Chevy Malibu commercial. She also has
a four page spread in "Bride and Bloom" magazine winter 2006 issue, and
a five page spread in "21 magazine" May 2007 issue.
