Felix van Groeningen was born on 1 November 1977 in Gent, Flanders, Belgium. He is a director and writer, known for Beautiful Boy (2018), The Broken Circle Breakdown (2012) and The Eight Mountains (2022).- Barbara Sarafian was born on April 16, 1968, in Ghent, Belgium. Her father was a half-Armenian painter, and her mother was a painter and teacher at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent. She was raised bilingual in French and Flemish/Dutch. She studied at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Antwerp and at Parallax in Brussels.
At first she was known as "Sonja Duplex", her alter ego on the radio show "De Lieve Lust" on 'Studio Brussel'.
Her first appearance in a feature film was in the short film "Pasta!" Very shortly after that, she started an international career with "CQ", directed by Roman Coppola, and "Fortress 2 - Re-Entry", directed by Geoff Murphy. In 1999 she starred in her first big role in Peter Greenaway's "8 ½ Women" as Clothilde.
She took a sabbatical for a few years to raise her son.
In 2008, Sarafian starred in Christophe Van Rompaey's "Moscow, Belgium" as Matty, a 41-year-old mother of three surviving her husband's mid-life crisis and falling in love with Johnny, a much younger truckdriver. Her powerful performance in the role won her awards at numerous festivals, including two awards for best actress. In the USA, newspapers wrote about Barbara Sarafian turning in "an Oscar-caliber performance".
Subsequently, she appeared convincingly in "SM-rechter", "Saint", "Zot van A." and "Marieke, Marieke"; for the latter, she was nominated for best actress in a supporting role.
In 2011 she starred in the role of Eva Forrestier in Michael Roskam's "Rundskop" (Bullhead) along with Matthias Schoenaerts.
Between 2012 and 2015, she played starring and supporting roles in "Allez, Eddy", "Emmenez-Moi", "Hemel", "Billy the Bully" and "Brasserie Romantiek". For her role in "Brasserie Romantiek" she won the Ensor Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Most recently she has starred in Nic Balthazar's "Everybody Happy" as Laura Maris and as Marianne in Christophe Van Rompaey's "Vincent". For the latter film she won the 2016 Boccalino d'Oro Award for Best Actress.
Besides her work on the big screen, she has a comprehensive palmares in television series and shows. She plays main roles in i.a. "Dubbelleven", "Vossenstreken" , "Clan (The Out-Laws)" and "In Vlaamse Velden". For her role in "in Vlaamse velden" she won a TV star for Best Actress. Her main supporting roles were in "Zone Stad", "Kiekens", "Aspe" and "Professor T". She has also starred in sketch and comedy shows such as "achter de feiten", "Tegen de sterren op" and "Wat als?".

Gilles De Schryver is a Belgian film & theatre actor, writer and producer.
His remarkable continuous activity throughout all these facets make him one of the most broad-scoped talents of his generation. De Schryver started on the stage where, as an actor and playwright, he quickly became artistic director of a middle-sized state-funded Flemish theatre company called 'het KIP'. He was seen in a multitude of award-winning theatre shows in- and outside of Europe in Dutch, in English as well as in French. He has freelanced for other Belgian and Dutch theatre companies for over 15 years. As a film actor De Schryver has more than 500 shooting days on his record and is internationally perhaps most known by larger audiences for his performances in critically acclaimed TV-series and feature films 'Code 37' and 'Hasta La Vista (Come as you are)'. Writer-Director Bavo Defurne is best known for _Souvenir_ starring Academy Award Nominee Isabelle Huppert . Defurne encourages his cast and crew to transform the story material into a visually beautiful and expressive tale. Unspoken desire, the human body and nature play a prominent role in his artistic universe. Defurne's award-winning debut feature, _North Sea Texas_ was theatrically released in 2012 in among others the USA, the United Kingdom, France and Germany and became a Netflix favorite. Defurne first established himself as an exciting new talent with a series of critically acclaimed, award-winning short films, of which _Campfire_ is the best known. The very close artistic collaboration between Defurne and his writer-producer Yves Verbraeken dates back to that period. Before Bavo focused on writing and directing, he worked as a decorator for Peter Greenaway, among others, and was assistant director of the German media artist Matthias Müller. Sven Faulconer, originally from Belgium, is a Los Angeles-based composer for film and TV. He employs a wide and unique range of musical styles, as reflected in the varied list of credits acquired by him over the years.
He recently co-wrote the score for Scream VI with Brian Tyler and his music for the 2023 Oscar winning documentary 'The Elephant Whisperers' got a nomination at the 'Hollywood Music in Media Awards' awards. He also co-wrote the music for the Netflix comedy series 'Unstable' with Mark Foster and his score for the National Geographic documentary 'The Last Ice' got nominated for the Critics Choice Documentary Award. His music has also been featured in commercials like the Toyota Highlander Super Bowl ad.
His original approach in independent productions has resulted in numerous soundtracks with a very distinctive character, including the score for the Emmy-nominated National Geographic documentary 'Into the Okavango', 'Blood Father' (Amazon), 'Wanderland' (Amazon Prime) and 'Assimilate' (Netflix).
A keen sense for collaboration and strong story-telling skills have earned him credits on movies like Top Gun: Maverick, Aquaman, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Ad Astra, Abominable, The Hunger Games series and Nightcrawler.
Beginning formal music training at age 8, Sven showed an early knack for improvisation and was soon writing his own pieces. Over the years he became a passionate clarinet player and performed a number of solo concertos with symphonic orchestra. His studies took him on an exciting journey starting in Ghent (Belgium), later moving to Rome to conclude his academic career in Los Angeles at the renowned UCLA Film Scoring Program.

Lucas Tavernier is a multilingual actor. He's works fluently and regularly in English, French, Italian and Dutch. He's also fluent in Spanish and good in German. He has notions of Arabic and Turkish and a good ear for phonetics which allows him to learn lines in languages he doesn't know (yet).
He is an allround actor, with a vast experience on stage and on set. He is a Dutch (Flemish) native speaker who graduated with distinction at the K.U. Leuven in philology of romance languages. He is one the few non native Fench speakers with stage experience in alexandrine verse: he performed more than a 100 times as l'Aiglon, the longest part in French verse repertoire, in Paris, in the play of the same name by Edmond Rostand, directed by Marion Bierry. As a jack-of-all-trades he is also at ease other genres such as commedia dell'arte for which he has a passion. He regularly shares this passion giving workshops in which he uses his collection of more than ten masks as a way to make actors aware of their physical and vocal expressive qualities. In Belgium he has been on stage at Bozar, Concertgebouw Brugge, Villers-la-Ville, Théâtre Royal du Parc, Théâtre Royal des Galeries, ... In cinema he works internationally and has been directed a.o. by George Clooney (in The Monuments Men) and Edoardo de Angelis (in Comandante). In German he performed alongside Dieter Hallervorden. For his work with directors such as Arjen Schotel (Subhuman) or Gideon Van Eeden (Entgen Luyten's Executioner), he received laurels at Cannes Indies Shorts and at IFF The Hague.
In the world of classical music, he has worked with the National Belgian Orchestra (directed by Jiri Rozen) as a solo narrator for Snegourochka, sharing the stage with soprano Jovita Vaska and tenor Igor Morozov in 2019. Grégoire Pont, taking care of the live drawings, was so pleased with his performance he asked to have Lucas back in 2023, for The Nutcracker, the Christmas performance of the Belgian National Orchestra, directed by Ryan McAdams. He is by all means a physical actor, with swimming as a nearly daily practice and driving a motorcycle (more than 100.000km on his BMW RT1200) to go to jobs where public transport can't take him. She stars as Birgit in all 5 seasons of the teen comedy-drama W817 and was one of the main actresses in the drama-series Jes by Nathalie Basteyns and Kaat Beels. Laurenzo Vergeynst, is a Belgian director and screenwriter. He has directed numerous short films and made his mark in the music industry by directing several music videos. In 2021 he was designated by BNP Paribas Fortis Foundation as the emerging young talent in the Belgian film industry.
