Few Hollywood stars can truly claim to be in an echelon above the renowned A-list, but George Clooney has effortlessly risen to such heights. Renowned not only for his chiseled jawline & riveting performances—cue the gripping visual masterpiece Gravity, which amassed an astronomical $723 million at the box office—Clooney embodies the epitome of a real hero.
But did you know that even his highest-grossing movie, the breathtaking outer space odyssey Gravity, would be overshadowed by the sheer opulence of Clooney’s Lake Como villa? Indeed, the star’s phenomenal movie success pales in comparison to the whopping $107 million of his Italian retreat.

However, there were rumors circulating last year that the actor was selling the renowned villa Oleandra, which he later denied.

Martin Scorsese has time and again proven why he ranks amongst the best filmmakers of today and his work will certainly be talked about for centuries to come. From Goodfellas (1990) to Shutter Island (2010), Martin Scorsese has a ton of gems in his portfolio but a sixteen-minute-long short film will remain to be the most unique work of his career.

All right folks, we know that the film is about cars and F1 cars more specifically. However, the budget seems to be a bit high for Hollywood people. With Brad Pitt starring in a Joseph Kosinski film (the director of Top Gun: Maverick), fans are curious.
With their curiosity, fans are also doubting the film’s success. Debating whether the film will be a flop or the ace of cards, fans can’t really figure out which. The one thing that they can figure out is that a budget of $300 million for a Hollywood film is too much!

George Clooney has been in the movie business for over a few years. Through his lengthy career, he has experienced the entire spectrum of success. He has had some massive box-office hits and has been a part of high-profile bombs. The most well-known blunder of his career has to be his 1997 film, Batman and Robin.
George Clooney as Batman
There were many reasons why the movie failed. Its inability to take on a serious tone, the joke-like appearances of beloved characters, and its writing, were just a few reasons why the movie was completely shredded by critics. It is safe to assume that after this very public failure, Clooney needed a break and needed to work on a good film.
That was when Steven Soderbergh’s Out of Sight entered the picture. It would seem that the atmosphere this movie provided was exactly what Clooney needed after the DC film’s failure.

After the humongous hit and accolades he received from Barbie last year, Ryan Gosling is back on the big screen with The Fall Guy. The film interestingly pairs him with Oppenheimer star Emily Blunt whose film was part of the Barbenheimer hype train last year. Their hilarious banter about the phenomenon and their films attracted fans to see their chemistry in The Fall Guy.

On its opening day, the film collected an underwhelming box office collection of $10.4 million, a relatively low opening compared to its budget. The summer movie season has unfortunately started on a dull note.

This article contains spoilers for "The Fall Guy."
At a pre-release screening, "The Fall Guy" director David Leitch and star Ryan Gosling greeted the audience by not only thanking them for attending (and playfully encouraging them to stay off their phones) but clarifying that the ensuing film — inspired by the 1980s TV series starring Lee Majors — is a love letter to the stunt community. That much would be true even if the film's end credits didn't include a lengthy montage of the making of some of the stunts that occur within the story. Leitch has a long history in the stunt community, having worked on everything from "John Wick" to "Deadpool 2" and "Ocean's Eleven." It's one thing, of course, to say that you've made a movie that's a love letter to stunts but it's another to actually pull off jaw-dropping stunt sequences. We've ranked the 10 wildest stunts in "The Fall Guy...

Director Guy Ritchie’s The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is loosely based on a true story. During World War II, Nazi U-boats are slowly cutting off the UK from desperately needed supplies and troops from the United States. As Prime Minister Winston Churchill faces increasing pressure to surrender to Adolf Hitler, he seeks a rather unique solution.
Churchill wants to secretly strike a West African outpost that supplies the Nazi submarines with critical supplies. Cut off their supply chain, and you can end Nazi dominance over the Atlantic Ocean. But to conduct an unauthorized military strike, he needs an unauthorized strike team.
Churchill and his loyal men, Brigadier Gubbins and Ian Fleming, recruit Gus March-Phillips out of prison to lead the strike. The rebellious, uncouth, and possibly mad Gus agrees to the secret mission, provided he can recruit his own team.

Image created by “Shutterstock.AI” Matt Damon playing the skilled and troubled Jason Bourne? Seemed like a perfect fit when he got the role in 2002’s The Bourne Identity. As if relationships weren’t already so complicated, in Hollywood, it is a completely different level of mess. From lies to secrets to cheating scandals, every other fairytale couple in Tinseltown has been through that and more. Especially if it is a high-profile case, the whirlwind leaves a few rumors behind in the dust. The highly publicized Angelina Jolie-Brad Pitt split is a great example of that, where Pitt was once linked with Fallout star Ella Purnell.

Calling all Latino filmmakers, John Travolta wants to work with you. Swinging by Panama to present his 1978 musical rom-com “Grease” at the 12th Panama International Film Festival (Iff Panama), Travolta professed his great love for “Mexico, Central America, South America, all of its parts.”
“There is an incredible humanity that prevails and is different from anywhere else in the world,” he told Variety.
Surprised to hear that Robert de Niro had starred in the Argentine series “Nada,” Travolta exclaimed: “I would have loved that, I would have enjoyed being lured to South America to play a part for a while.”
The closest he’s come to working with a Latino director was with Alfonso Cuarón, who produced the short film streaming on Disney+ “The Shepherd,” based on Frederick Forsyth’s 1975 novella, which follows a young Royal Air Force pilot flying home for Christmas across the North Sea. When the pilot...

Benedict Cumberbatch (The Power of the Dog) and Olivia Colman (The Favourite) have been tapped to star in The Roses, a reimagining of the 1989 classic The War of the Roses that Jay Roach (Bombshell) will direct for Searchlight Pictures.
Currently in development, the dark comedy’s logline is as follows: Life seems easy for picture-perfect couple Theo (Cumberbatch) and Ivy (Colman): successful careers, great kids, an enviable sex life. But underneath the façade of the perfect family is a tinderbox of competition and resentments that’s ignited when Theo’s professional dreams come crashing down.
Directed by Danny DeVito and starring Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner, the original film adaptation of The War of the Roses was released by 20th Century Fox in 1989, garnering a BAFTA and three Golden Globe nominations, including for Best Motion Picture, among other accolades.

Dylan Pierre De Villiers made his Below Deck debut this week as the new deckhand.
The newbie arrived after Bosun Jared Woodin was fired and Lead Deckhand Ben Willoughby took on the leadership role.
Below Deck viewers watched Dylan arrive (literally) on the last day of a charter.
The way it looked on the show, he arrived hours before the St. David returned to the dock to drop off the latest group of charter guests.
However, one thing now has Below Deck fans questioning when Dylan really joined the crew.
This has also raised eyebrows regarding just how edited Below Deck is as the second half of Season 11 begins.

Mark Wahlberg has admitted he wasn’t entirely happy while filming Martin Scorsese’s 2006 film The Departed.
Wahlberg played Sergeant Dignam, who worked in the Special Investigation Unit of the Massachusetts State Police Department, in the Boston-set film, which also starred Leonardo DiCaprio, Jack Nicholson, Matt Damon, Martin Sheen, Alec Baldwin and Vera Farmiga, among others.
“I was a little pissed about a couple things but look, it all worked out in the end, I think,” Wahlberg said on the March 14 episode of Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast.
“Originally I was supposed to play another part. Originally, I was supposed to get paid,” he said, without elaborating. “And then even when we kind of agreed that I would play Dignam and I saw the advantages of playing that part and how I would approach the situation with everybody else playing opposite me, I then had another movie after.

The third installment of the Sands: International Film Festival of St Andrews has set its slate, and that will include director Steven Soderbergh engaging in a conversation with directors Anthony and Joe Russo. I will moderate that discussion, which will touch on the preposterously unlikely way that Soderbergh discovered and godfathered the career of the duo that directed Hollywood’s all-time highest grossing film, Avengers: Endgame. The festival runs next month from April 19-21.
Soderbergh’s own career took off with sex, lies, and videotape, the film that just celebrated 35 years since the filmmaker turned Sundance into a lucrative independent film hatchery. It went on to win the Palme d’Or at the 1989 Cannes Film Festival, followed by Soderbergh’s first Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay. Following the blockbuster success of Barbie, Margot Robbie is tackling another famous IP. As first reported by Jeff Sneider and confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter, a movie based on the popular video game franchise The Sims is currently being shopped to Hollywood studios by Robbie and her LuckyChap production company.
Kate Herrnon, who helmed the first season of Loki on Disney+, is on board to direct the film, and is also co-writing the screenplay with Briony Redman.
Similar to Barbie, The Sims has no real narrative or plot to go off of. Even so, studios no doubt have faith in Robbie, who, along with director/writer Greta Gerwig, turned Barbie into a billion dollar film franchise. A bidding war between studios and streams is unfolding as we speak.
As an added bonus, plenty of musicians are noted fans of The Sims, including Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker, Japanese Breakfast, and Snail Mail,...

George Clooney’s renowned tequila brand Casamigos has managed to triumph over some notable celebrity alcohol brands, including Dwayne Johnson’s Teremana Tequila and Ryan Reynolds’ Aviation Gin, in one significant metric that illustrates user interest and popularity.
According to a list shared by media brand Boardroom on Instagram, these businesses, alongside some other notable celebrity-backed alcohol companies, have raked in impressive search volume on Google.

If you haven’t taken the leap to bundle Disney+ and Hulu, it might be time. Streaming is only getting more expensive and competitive, and the enticing bundle (which also includes ESPN) might be a version of cable TV, but it’s also just cost efficient. Disney+ and Hulu are so intertwined that their monthly listing updates come in the same email — and as such, we decided to compile them here for you in the same list.
Whether you have Disney+ or Hulu, or both (and the IndieWire staff has weighed on our favorites), each has its benefits. Disney has the family-friendly titles, the Star Wars and Marvel (new episodes of “The Bad Batch” and “X-Men: 97” continue through April), while Hulu is the place to catch FX originals and network episodes. Both streamers have the rights to distribute National Geographic titles, which are well worth exploring along with the rest of the library.

Amidst the acclaim that The Godfather received from all fronts, there was one influential critic of the movie — Frank Sinatra. The beef between Sinatra and the film began even before the start of filming. The singer and actor believed that one character in Mario Puzo’s novel, that of Johnny Fontaine, was modeled after him. On one occasion, Sinatra had a heated confrontation about this with Puzo where he threatened the author.

However, his threats on another occasion did not seem to bother singer Al Martino, who played the brief role of Johnny Fontaine in the film. In the end, all the efforts of Frank Sinatra to ruin The Godfather became futile as the movie became the biggest hit in Hollywood upon release.

Does Cat quit on Below Deck? It’s a question Below Deck fans can’t help but ask as Season 11 nears the halfway point.
Stew Cat Baugh hasn’t had the easiest time on Below Deck, even with Fraser Olender and Captain Kerry Titheradge working hard to ensure she’s good.
As Monsters and Critics previously reported, Below Deck fans have sounded off on the way Cat gets treated with kid gloves while Barbie Pascual takes heat from Fraser.
This week, we saw Cat call home and cry over not vibing with the St. David group.
Thanks to the previews for next week’s episode of Below Deck, the rumor mill is buzzing that Cat will quit the hit-yachting show.
After all, it certainly doesn’t seem like Fraser will fire her, despite Cat lacking as a stew.

And although The Fall Guy was action-packed, Ryan Gosling did little to no stunts, thanks to his eight identical stunt doubles whom he chose to thank at a recent public appearance. The number of stunts made him feel like he was on an Avengers set, channeling his inner superhero!

A decade before Knight and Day was released, a movie like it would have killed with audiences: Come on, it starred Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz and looked to perfectly mash humor and action in a way that so few male/female-led action-comedies had for years. Yet, it didn’t connect. But why? There are a lot of reasons, really, and not just, as Roy Miller would say, “one of those things.” Through lousy marketing, hokey promotion, poorly timed sneak previews, and even Katie Holmes, Knight and Day fizzled, less “beautiful dress” than beautiful mess…But it did at least inspire a Bollywood remake, so suck on that, Vanilla Sky! Let’s find out: What Happened to this Movie?!
Knight and Day began, as with so many Hollywood screenplays, as a spec script, or a work that is uncommissioned but written in hopes of selling it to a studio (think...

The Ocean’s trilogy of movies is confirmed for 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray in the UK, with a release pencilled in for the end of April: more here.
Steven Soderbergh’s trilogy of Ocean’s films – Ocean’s 11, Ocean’s 12, Ocean’s 13 – brought together a starry ensemble cast for a trio of crime caper movies. Really successful ones at that, even if the sort-of twist in Ocean’s 12 continues to have a degree of Wtf did they really do that about it.
Ocean’s 11 in particular though is a an absolute treat, and there’s much to enjoy across the three films, which as coming to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray in the UK for the first time.
Warner Bros is putting the films out, initially in posh Steelbook casing, and they’re set to debut on 29th April 2024. What’s more, you’ve got four different options if you’re...

Jake Lloyd played Anakin Skywalker in 1999’s Star Wars: Episode 1 — The Phantom Menace and left the limelight shortly after the film’s release.
In a new interview, Lloyd’s mother, Lisa Lloyd, updated the public on her son and dispelled rumors that had plagued the Star Wars community for many years.
Lisa talked to Scripps News and said her son was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia in 2008 after struggling and talking about living in different realities, seeing people with “black eyes,” and mentioning having conversations with The Daily Show host Jon Stewart.
On top of that, Jake seemed to have a neurological condition called anosognosia, which causes a patient to be in denial about their symptoms.
“He didn’t think he needed to take medication because he wasn’t sick,” Lisa said. “He didn’t think he needed to go to the therapist because there’s nothing wrong with him.

Coleman Hough, who received solo screenplay credit on the quirky Steven Soderbergh-directed improvisational films Full Frontal and Bubble, has died. She was 62.
Hough died Feb. 24 at the Actors Fund Home in Englewood, New Jersey, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease, her friend Jennifer Romine told The Hollywood Reporter. She was diagnosed with early onset Parkinson’s when she was 42.
Full Frontal (2002), set in Hollywood and a film within a film, shot in 18 days using a consumer-grade digital camera and was the first produced screenplay by playwright and poet Hough.
Featuring Julia Roberts, Catherine Keener, David Hyde Pierce, Blair Underwood, David Duchovny and Jeff Garlin as a Harvey Weinstein type, it marked an extreme change of pace for Soderbergh, who was coming off Erin Brockovich (2000), an Oscar win for Traffic (2000) and Ocean’s Eleven (2001).
Hough’s characters are “simultaneously self-absorbed and less introspective than they think they are,” Craig J. Clark...
