NCIS season 21 has been over for a while now, leaving fans with two big plot twists to ponder over until the show’s next installment hits CBS later this year. The season finale suddenly brought all the attention to Jessica Knight who has accepted a big offer and thus is set to get to the other side of the country, leaving her previous and pretty much beloved workplace.
Now that NCIS fans don’t cease to speculate about Jessica’s promotion and how exactly it will affect her career and personal life, it seems somewhat unfair to bring her in the spotlight while there’s another major character whose storyline appears to be no less compelling.
The show’s latest season ended on a double cliffhanger concerning both Jessica Knight and her boss, NCIS Supervisory Special Agent Alden Parker. While fans now turned to making all possible theories about the...

Everybody knows that NCIS is one of the biggest TV franchises there is, but what if we tell you that there are even more shows that share the same universe with the series than those which have NCIS in their names.
Sounds intriguing? Then check out our list and the advice on how to watch all the shows in correct order.
10. Jag
Everything started with Jag. It actually gave the start to the whole franchise, and it surprises us that not so many fans actually knew about it. The two episodes that made it all happen were Ice Queen and Meltdown, both from season 8. In these episodes the many NCIS characters were introduced, like Jethro Gibbs, Anthony Dinozzo and others. After that, when NCIS premiered, it featured many Jag characters as well.
So if you never heard of the show but consider yourself a NCIS fan, it’s time to binge Jag right now.

NCIS season 21 has been over for quite some time now, leaving the show’s fans enough time to speculate until the next installment hits CBS this fall.
Though it’s been only several weeks since NCIS’s latest season ended on that major cliffhanger raising concerns about Jessica Knight’s future in the show, the fandom has already come up with all sorts of theories, each and every single one of which takes Jessica Knight to the most different directions in life.
While some don’t really care about Jessica’s big promotion having their fingers crossed for the character’s continuous romance with Jimmy Palmer, others surmise that Knight and Palmer’s future together doesn’t seem to be that bright anymore. However, there’s also another, unexpectedly simple theory that has a chance to turn out to be true.

The Netflix special roasting NFL great Tom Brady made it onto the streaming charts for the week it premiered — despite it only being up for a few hours of that week.
The Roast of Tom Brady racked up 279 million minutes for the week of April 29-May 5, good for 10th place among original series in Nielsen’s rankings. The special streamed live on May 5, meaning it tallied those viewing minutes in under 12 hours. (With a running time of almost three hours, the 279 million minutes equate to about 1.6 million complete runs of the special.)
Bluey moved back into the top overall spot with 1.18 billion minutes of viewing on Disney+, adding to its total as the most streamed title in the United States so far this year (21.73 billion minutes and counting). Fallout, which had led the previous three weeks, slipped to third overall with 1.08 billion minutes of viewing on Prime Video, while Grey’s Anatomy...

The Netflix effect continues.
The O.G. streamer has seen major viewership success with the licensing of older titles from other producers since last year, when the long-concluded USA legal drama “Suits” dominated the Nielsen Streaming Top 10 for weeks on end. Since then, several library titles have seen similar trajectories.
The newest example of the Netflix effect is “The Judge,” a 2014 film starring Robert Downey Jr. that was streamed for 703 million minutes in its first five days on Netflix. That made it the seventh-most-streamed title of the week of April 29-May 5, holding its own compared to TV titles with much longer running times.
Also notable on this week’s chart was “Dead Boy Detectives,” which rose to become the No. 8 most-streamed title with 699 million minutes watched in its first full week on Netflix after missing the overall Top 10 and instead landing at No. 3 on the streaming originals chart last week,...

NCIS: Hawai’i got heartbreaking news about its cancellation several weeks ago, but the fans’ outrage never really quietened down ever since.
Being one of NCIS’ numerous spinoffs, the series introduced a compelling storyline that kept viewers glued to their screens in anticipation for another season to be dropped, and, even apart from that, NCIS: Hawai’i indeed had some masterfully elaborated strong points that neither the original show nor other spinoffs had been able to adapt.
Unlike the rest of NCIS installments, that show finally proved that the leading position doesn’t necessarily belong to an ambitious white man.
Over the years of its television run, NCIS: Hawai’i has received lots of accolades for creating something more diverse and refreshing for modern TV that already got bored of one-type shows with male agents at the helm. The show even introduced a lesbian couple whose healthy relationship got a rare compliment from the LGBTQ+ community itself.

The NCIS franchise continues to expand, and one of the upcoming shows is going to give fans exactly what they’ve wanted for years: more Tony (Michael Weatherly) and Ziva (Cote de Pablo)! De Pablo left NCIS in 11 before returning for the Season 16 finale and four episodes of Season 17. Weatherly exited at the end of Season 13 and was last seen at the end of the tribute to Ducky and the late David McCallum in the current 21st season. The new series was given a straight-to-series order on February 28. “We’ve been talking about this story for many years, and now with John McNamara at the helm, we are ready,” said Weatherly and de Pablo at the time. “The world of Tony and Ziva (and daughter Tali) promises to be an action-packed roller coaster fueled by love, danger, tears and laughter. Michael Weatherly has signed with Verve for representation, Variety has learned exclusively. Weatherly continues to be repped by Anonymous Content and McKuin Frankel.
Weatherly is best known for his time on the long-running CBS procedural “NCIS.” Weatherly portrayed Special Agent Tony Dinozzo on the hit show for 13 seasons. He departed the show in 2016, but made a special guest appearance in the second episode of the recent 21st season.
Weatherly will reprise the role of Dinozzo in a new “NCIS” spinoff series currently in the works at Paramount+ in the first streaming exclusive series in franchise history. He will reunite with Cote de Pablo, who played Special Agent Ziva David on “NCIS.” Weatherly serves as an executive producer on the series in addition to starring, as does de Pablo.

NCIS’ season 22 is still months away from release on CBS this fall, but fans just can’t get enough of a myriad of theories dwelling on guesses where Jessica Knight’s major cliffhanger will eventually take the show’s storyline.
Since the season 21 ending hit the network earlier in May, fans have been speculating about Jessica’s decision and how it will affect her career and personal life, let alone the show’s future seasons as a whole.
Though nobody really saw it coming, another fan theory offered a radically new perspective for NCIS’ next installments, and Knight’s big plot twist is to blame here.
Yet another heated discussion on Reddit was started around ten days ago by a user who, while sharing their thoughts about the season 21 ending, suggested that all the major characters are getting some truly big events in their lives just because NCIS might be...

NCIS fans are definitely having some concerns regarding the franchise’s future as many of them have been quite vocal about recent, and pretty much disappointing, decisions that are currently transforming the entire NCIS universe.
Several weeks ago, the franchise officially lost one of its most successful spinoffs NCIS: Hawai’i, but its attempts to make it up to the scrapped show by launching two more series doesn’t really seem to be working.
Regardless of whether fans are excited about it or not, NCIS is getting a replacement for NCIS: Hawai’i by giving a whole new show to the universe’s biggest figure Leroy Jethro Gibbs, something the longtime lovers of the franchise have already lamented over.
Now that there’s no way for NCIS: Hawai’i to be back and Gibbs’ spinoff titled NCIS: Origins is already on its way, fans are determined to consider the upcoming show for watching...

More than 400 episodes, 21 seasons, millions of fans — this is NCIS, one of the most popular shows on television right now. The project has had its ups and downs, there were characters that fans loved and hated.
And there were those who left the show but remained forever in the hearts of viewers who still hope for their return. Here are four of the most beloved NCIS characters whose fates on the show weren't long enough.
1. Abby Sciuto played by Pauley Perrette
Pauley Perrette's Abby was one of the few remaining original cast members, so fans took it hard when Pauley announced she was leaving the show in 2017.

When the news arrived that one of the many NCIS spinoffs, NCIS: Hawai'i, is being canceled, the internet exploded with negative comments towards the network that made the decision.
The heartbroken fans couldn’t believe the one show they liked as much as the original series was killed by CBS.
They all agree that NCIS: Sydney should have been the one to be canceled instead.
“They should have canceled Sydney. We watched maybe two episodes and just couldn't get into it. But that's typical of CBS; they get you hooked on a show and then cancel it. Corporate j*rks don't give a cr*p about the fans, just the bottom line is all that matters to them,” Redditor AdventurousDream3778 said.
The fans named several reasons to support their point.

Jessica Knight’s promotion at the end of NCIS season 21 creates a void that needs filling. Here are six characters from NCIS spinoffs who could step into her shoes after this dramatic twist. Sam Hanna and Jane Tennant’s Dream Team Sam Hanna, famously played by LL Cool J, is no stranger to shifting between NCIS series. From NCIS: Los Angeles, he could bring his extensive experience and unparalleled cool to the Washington D.C. office. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has confirmed actor Johnny Wactor died from a gunshot wound to the chest. His manner of death is classified as a homicide.
Wactor was shot early Saturday morning, May 25, in Los Angeles when he confronted three armed thieves who were trying to steal a catalytic converter from his car. The suspects fled the scene and the LAPD has asked for the public’s help for tips.
In a May 28 news release, Los Angeles Police Department said, based on witness statements, Wactor had ended his shift as a bartender at a local bar and was walking to his vehicle when “he was confronted by three individuals who had Wactor’s vehicle raised up with a floor jack and were in the process of stealing the catalytic converter.

This year NCIS gave its fans the best gift ever by bringing back Tony Dinozzo and Ziva David and giving them their own spinoff. While fans may be disappointed to learn that the spinoff has found its home outside of cable, on a streaming platform called Paramount Plus, and that means shorter seasons for more money, it's still an exciting prospect.
After so many years in the dark about the relationship between two iconic NCIS characters, and then a solid conclusion in season 17, no one believed that Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly would grace our screens again as the show's most dynamic duo. Even better, you don't have to wait until the show premieres to join the reunion.
NCIS Rewatch Podcast Premiere
In the style of The Office and Glee, NCIS has created an official podcast to promote the upcoming spinoff and give fans a little behind the scenes look.

Seems like the last few months have been quite a tough time for the NCIS franchise and especially for its fans. Though things aren’t that bad for the show itself and its spinoffs as NCIS keeps expanding its universe with two more series making their way to the screens soon, some other shows’ brief history on TV isn’t what many viewers would ever want to have.
The recently canceled NCIS: Hawai’i’s huge fandom has been vocal about their intention to bring the show back on TV ever since it was officially scrapped by CBS several weeks ago, and fans’ own investigations prove that another NCIS spinoff is to blame for NCIS: Hawai’i’s unenviable fate.
Even apart from the fact that the upcoming show has completely ruined its fellow series, many fans agree that nobody needs this new spinoff anyway.

The odds are in Tracker’s favor, as the show has just triumphantly ended the 2023-2024 TV season garnering an impressive amount of viewers and surpassing even CBS’ long-standing giant NCIS.

NCIS is the TV show that started the trend of projects about NCIS as an independent law enforcement. The project became so popular that it spawned a number of spin-offs.
It's no secret that actors in popular television shows receive substantial paychecks, and if you're interested in specific figures for the main stars of NCIS who are still in the project or have already left it, you can find them here.
5. Wilmer Valderrama as Nicholas Torres — $100,000
Nick appeared in the premiere episode of season 14, replacing fan favorite Tony Dinozzo. He returned to D.C. to bring the person responsible for his brother-in-law's death to justice. At first, Nick seemed too hot-tempered, but over time he joined the team and became an integral part of it.
Wilmer Valderrama, who plays Torres, earns about $100,000 per episode.
4. David McCallum as Dr. Donald Mallard — $175,000
Unfortunately, NCIS lost one of the longest-running characters in Season 21 — Dr.

A GoFundMe crowdfunding campaign to support the family of late “General Hospital” actor Johnny Wactor earned more than $50,000 in donations in its first 24 hours. The campaign was started by Wactor’s godmother, Michaelle Kinard, after the actor was shot and killed in downtown Los Angeles on May 25. Wactor was 37 years old. The crowdfunding goal is set at $100,000 and has exceeded $83,900 from 800 donations and counting.

Considering that Mark Harmon spent 19 years as NCIS Special Agent Gibson, it's no surprise that this role will forever be the first that comes to mind when the actor's name is mentioned. The show could not have existed as we know it without Harmon, and fans will forever be grateful that he helped shape the dynamic that the other cast members now carry.
But when it comes to Harmon's filmography, it's much more extensive than just one television hit. Throughout his career in entertainment, the actor has appeared in many TV shows, including the medical drama Chicago Hope and the 90s NBC hit Reasonable Doubts.
However, there was one role in particular that perfectly led the actor to his iconic NCIS character.

Football continues to act as the glue that holds the broadcast nets together, while Justin Hartley’s Tracker found more viewers this season than longtime victor NCIS.
The 2023-24 Nielsen charts also revealed how Young Sheldon was able to go out on top, while many other CBS series remained in the total viewer top 20. Yet one of the bigger head scratchers was the performance by the network’s Blue Bloods, which, despite averaging 8.1 million viewers this year, is on its way out.
The police drama still does better than The Equalizer (7.7 million) and Fire Country (7.1 million), but the Tom Selleck series is scheduled to wrap at year’s end for its 14th and final season.
“We love this cast, we love their passion for the show,” CBS Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach told reporters in early May. “All shows have to come to an end. It’s important to us to refresh the schedule.

The police procedural NCIS just recently finished its 21st season, and during this time many actors have managed to appear as guest stars.
We have selected the five most outstanding — those who have aroused the most enthusiasm among fans.

NCIS season 21 ended on several major cliffhangers, leaving fans wondering what the future season holds for some characters’ storylines and especially how everything will turn out for Jessica Knight. The latest episodes proved that she couldn’t be more excited about a big promotion that will inevitably separate her from the McRt and send her to the other side of the country.
It’s fair to say that Knight’s dream that is about to come true in the upcoming season may also bring her big and disheartening changes in personal life, but for now some fans are reassured that it won’t go that far.
The season 21 ending left zero doubts about Jessica Knight’s departure from the team, though fan theories on Reddit suggest that she’ll eventually be back. In a thread which brought together several devoted fans who voiced their predictions for season 22, Jessica Knight’s...

It was the season of TV that wasn’t actually a full season for a host of shows. It was a season when an Australian blue heeler became the biggest thing in streaming, when women’s sports (basketball in particular) took a big leap, when Jon Stewart got back behind a desk, and when the NFL ruled the TV landscape.
Ok, that last one is true for any of the past, oh, 15 seasons or so (at least). But the others? Those were unique to this year, and even if they were much discussed, there are still some more data points to be mined from them. Here are some of the hidden numbers behind the 2023-24 TV season — beginning with a couple that were truly hidden.

Supernatural was the show that never seemed to end. But in 2020, the long-awaited final episode was released. Over the course of fifteen seasons, the show managed to change several genres and offer a whole galaxy of very different storylines.
Supernatural has managed to go from complex emotional drama to hilarious irony over the years, never boring its viewers.
One of the key ingredients that was part of both the drama and the comedy relief was, of course, Crowley. The character, brilliantly played by Mark Sheppard in seasons from 5 to 12, began the series as a humble crossroad demon, but thanks to intelligence, cunning and ruthlessness, he quickly reached the top of the demonic hierarchy and took the throne as the King of Hell.

Throughout the years on modern TV, police procedurals have always been a frequent choice for an evening watch due to its compelling and action-packed storylines, remembering the genre’s CBS giant NCIS that’s been on air for decades will be enough in this case.
Despite being based on the existing system of police work across the world, such shows are still created from scratch, basing its plot only on the general idea of such an environment. Still, however good NCIS may seem to its long-time fans, another similar show back in the day surely captivated millions of viewers thanks to its real-life story.
HBO’s crime drama The Wire had its television run from 2002 to 2008 and, just like other police procedurals, turned all of its attention to a specific problem of drug use in the US, but with a different approach. The show initially was created by David Simon...

Now more than two decades into its run, the one-hour prime-time series is the third longest-running US scripted drama program behind only Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Law & Order. NCIS has 467 episodes (and counting), cementing its place in the upper echelon of US TV dramas after the aforementioned Law & Orders and Gunsmoke — the only programs to have made more episodes.

Regular old CBS can still make new hits.
That’s the takeaway from Nielsen’s report on the 100 most-watched primetime broadcast and cable series of the 2023-24 season (via Variety), which lists the freshman drama series “Tracker” as TV’s top non-sports program. It’s the first time a new series has been the No. 1 show since “Survivor” in 2000, per CBS.
“Tracker” capitalized on its coveted post-Super Bowl series premiere slot and lack of new series competition in the midst of a strike-disrupted broadcast season, averaging 10.8 million total viewers per episode in Season 1 on the way to becoming the most-watched new series since “Desperate Housewives” in 2024-25. The series, which stars “This Is Us” veteran Justin Hartley as a survivalist who helps find missing persons, beat out second-place drama “NCIS” by more than a million viewers.
CBS also has the year’s top comedy series, the final season of “Young Sheldon.

Every time the show loses a key member of the team, fans wonder if the dynamic of the cast can survive the exit. Fortunately for NCIS, the writers have made sure to fill the void left by each departing character. And yet, some of them were so dear to viewers that they still want to see them back.

Netflix has changed its mind concerning the hit TV show NCIS. The streaming giant had said that it was removing the series completely at the end of June. This upset many fans, as it remains one of the most watched shows on television, and that includes on Netflix. The good news is that Netflix won’t remove the entire series.
Here is a look at what Netflix is doing with NCIS and when it goes into effect.
Netflix Will Keep Some NCIS Seasons After June
The original news stated that Netflix was removing NCIS from the streaming service at the end of June. It wasn’t much of a surprise since Paramount+ is the official home of the show and has the new episodes up after they air on CBS. However, for past seasons, the two streaming services shared the show.

With all the NCIS franchise’s shows being over for a while until new seasons for some of them come later this year, the biggest problem to resolve isn’t even NCIS: Hawai’i’s cliffhanger that will probably never get its explanation, but rather Jessica Knight’s position.
In NCIS season 21 finale, the character left no doubts that she’s down for the big changes coming in her way after she accepted a big promotion. While it’s still uncertain whether she will in fact leave the entire show or will show up every so often as a guest star, what comes clear is that Knight’s position will soon become vacant for another character to take over, and, it’s fair to say, there’s already a long list of worthy candidates.

NCIS season 21 finale left fans across the world wondering how things will turn after the big cliffhanger that gives no certainty about Jessica Knight’s further fate.
