Jason Blum and co. are bringing back the pickaxes as they get ready to reboot the My Bloody Valentine franchise.
Freddy Krueger. Jason Voorhees. Michael Myers. Jigsaw. There’s a lot of iconic killers in horror franchises, but there’s one that might have slipped past you; Harry Warden.
Harry Warden was the slightly supernatural killer in 1981’s My Bloody Valentine and while the film never became a hit in its own time, Blumhouse is looking to reboot it as reported first by Bloody Disgusting.
My Bloody Valentine is only the latest in Blumhouse’s reboot plans. The studio, headed by Jason Blum, is also working on a new Blair Witch Project film and have previously released a remake of Fantasy Island and of course, the new Halloween and The Exorcist sequels.

You might not recognize the name immediately, but Dylan Minnette is someone whose face you will definitely remember. Aside from starring in 13 Reasons Why as Clay Jensen, Minnette has appeared in numerous television series in guest roles, such as Lost, Awake, Scandal, Grey’s Anatomy, Supernatural, Prison Break, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Aside from that, he also appeared in the horror movie Let Me In (2010), the thriller film Prisoners (2013), the family comedy film Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day (2014), the family fantasy film Goosebumps (2015), and the horror films Don’t Breathe (2016), The Open House (2018) and Scream (2022).
But, if you’ve been attentive, you might have noticed that Minnette has not been on the screen for some time now, and it is true – the young actor quit acting in 2022 and has been focusing on his musical career with his rock band Wallows since then.

Fascinating fictional worlds and the magical creatures that inhabit them are a common topic for many fantasy projects. Even before Game of Thrones and Supernatural, at the very beginning of the 21st century, there was a series about a fairy tale universe that comes into contact with our reality.
Now, 24 years later, this project has (rightly) become a favorite of many fantasy fans, reminiscent of carefree childhood and the time when we still believed in magic. And that project is The 10th Kingdom.
What is The 10th Kingdom About?
A New York cafe waitress, Virginia, rescues a dog one day that turns out to be the enchanted Prince Wendell, who has fled to our world from the land of the Nine Kingdoms to escape his stepmother, the Evil Queen. The Prince is Snow White's grandson and the direct heir to the throne, but the Queen has her own plans.

There are lots of series that have featured epic battles of good vs. evil, like Lucifer and Supernatural. Now, there’s a new German series named Pauline, directed by Elena Lyubarskaya, that dives into a similar storyline. The story centers around a girl named Pauline who gets impregnated by a guy named Lucas, who just so happens to be the son of the devil herself! Pauline doesn’t know this at first, but things get crazy when she realizes she’s gained supernatural powers from her pregnancy. She can read people’s minds—how cool is that? But there’s more to the story. Her baby and the Devil are linked to an ancient prophecy about opening a gateway to hell that will give more powers to the demons. This threatens the balance between good and evil, which has been carefully maintained for ages. People have sacrificed so much to keep this equilibrium,...

The CW used to be the ideal network for soapy teen dramas, sci-fi vampires and werewolf series, and DC superhero shows.
Now, it's a disappointing shell of those days.
The Vampire Diaries premiered back in 2009 and led to two additional spinoffs, while DC's Arrow began in 2012 and also began a massive franchise.
The CW used to include soapy dramas or sci-fi series, such as Supernatural, which launched Jared Padalecki's career.
The CW has only four original series left, and Superman & Lois will air its final season in the fall.
All American and All American: Homecoming are all on the bubble, while Walker was canceled. It seems like The CW has changed its' identity, and it's not favorable.
We long to return to those glory days when The CW ruled TV fandoms.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan is the latest member of the "Supernatural" cast to join showrunner Eric Kripke's most recent creation: the filthy, irreverent superhero satire series "The Boys." Morgan played John Winchester, father of the demon-hunting Winchester brothers (Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki) in "Supernatural," and in "The Boys" season 4 he'll be introduced as CIA analyst Joe Kessler. There's a possibility he could even be reunited with his on-screen son, since Ackles also joined the world of "The Boys" last season as a very special boy: Soldier Boy.
This was Ackles' first time suiting up on camera as a superhero, which is actually pretty surprising given that his 15-season tenure on "Supernatural" saw him in a variety of disguises. Soldier Boy is currently taking a cryogenic nap, but after season 3 ended, Kripke told Entertainment Weekly, "I can't imagine the series ending without Soldier Boy making another appearance." Eric Kripke is gonna catch ’em all. “The Boys” showrunner has slowly but surely been casting the stars of the iconic CW series “Supernatural,” which Kripke created, on his R-rated Amazon Prime Video superhero drama. And he’s got one “very big one” he’s eyeing to bring on in Season 5, even if it’s for “a single episode” — Jared Padalecki, a.k.a. Sam Winchester.
“He’s been busy the last few years, so schedules haven’t worked out,” Kripke told Variety in an interview Thursday, referring to Padalecki’s starring role on the CW’s “Walker,” which was canceled earlier this week after four seasons. Padalecki starred alongside Jensen Ackles on the CW’s “Supernatural” for 15 seasons, from its debut on what was then the WB in 2005 through its series finale in 2020.
“But now, unfortunately, [‘Walker’] got canceled — but the good thing is he’s free,” Kripke said.

When Supernatural ended, Jared Padalecki went on to star in Walker, a reboot of the classic Chuck Norris TV series Walker, Texas Ranger. While his former co-star Jensen Ackles saw his Supernatural spinoff, The Winchesters end after a short time, Walker continued on. However, that has now ended.
Jared Padalecki announced that The CW has canceled Walker after its fourth season.

Eric Kripke rarely misses his shots: the man who wrote and produced Supernatural, he’s now busy working on The Boys and its spin-off Generation V. Despite shifting to an entirely new franchise, Kripke didn’t forget his star alums aka the Winchester brothers — he already got Jensen Ackles to play Soldier Boy in The Boys Season 3, and now the producer is seeking to get Jared Padalecki back, too.

Recently, Eric Kripke sat down with EW to discuss The Boys — and shared promising news about his attempts to reunite the good old Supernatural cast on his new TV show.

In 1972, Kolchak: The Night Stalker transfixed audiences. The movie became the highest-rated TV movie in U.S. history and spawned the cult TV series starring Darren McGavin. The TV movie was written by horror legend and novelist Richard Matheson (I Am Legend) and based on an unpublished novel by Jeff Rice, which ended up being published the following year.
Now, Bloody Disgusting has learned that Bram Stoker Award-winning editor and writer James Aquilone and Monstrous Books have acquired the print rights to Kolchak and will be releasing a limited edition of Jeff Rice’s original, cult novel. The new, deluxe hardcover edition will feature a new foreword by writer and actor David Dastmalchian (Count Crowley; Late Night with the Devil), an all-new afterword by writer and producer Rodney Barnes (Killadelphia), and a cover and spot illustrations by Russ Braun (The Boys).

With the Riverdale finale in August 2023, The CW officially entered what seemed to be a new era of content. While some other series were still wrapping up, network executives shared ambitious plans to finally switch audiences, make the network profitable, and join ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox as a major network.
Whether The CW has achieved the financial goals it set for itself remains to be seen. What is obvious is the change in the series lineup for the 2024/2025 season, with many TV series either left out as there was no confirmation of their renewal, or very different from what the channel used to show.
Is Walker Renewed for Season 5?
Now it seems that The CW is about to cut all ties with the star of one of the most popular shows the network has ever produced, Supernatural. Season 4 of Jared Padalecki's Walker will be the last to be produced by the network.

It’s official: Walker will not be renewed for a fifth season by the CW.
“We want to thank the entire cast, crew, writers, directors and producers of Walker for their hard work and dedication over four incredible seasons,” the network said in a statement. “We also want to give a special thanks to star and executive producer Jared Padalecki, who has been a member of The CW family for over 20 years and was integral to some of the biggest hits on the network.”
As Deadline reported yesterday, sets for Walker were being dismantled with its renewal prospects dim. Star and executive producer Padalecki, who starred on the WB/CW long-running hit Supernatural for 15 seasons before segueing to Walker, shared the news of the official cancellation with fans.

Stephen Amell’s work in Arrow has always been highly regarded. His contribution to the Arrowverse was one that many sought out to be both entertaining and impactful. A key feature of working on shows and movies is the connections that get built not just with the cast and crew but also with the audiences. So much so that because Arrow and Supernatural were being filmed on nearby sets, Amell developed a great friendship with Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles.

If bonds outside of his own show can be so strong, then there is no need for it to be imagined how deep the bonds of every one of Arrow were. Seeing the care Amell had for his cast and crew, his death sequence should have held value beyond any other, regardless of it being part of a major crossover or not.

On the newest episode of his Loaded & Probably Loaded podcast, with Kelly Blackheart, Qualls reminisced about when he first got to know Olsson at a convention dedicated to the Supernatural fandom and how their relationship has bloomed into a forever romance. “But on that trip, I met Ty. The hate for each of these projects has gained as much of a cult following as the shows themselves. But how much of it is justified?
Here are seven shows that are much better than critics and audiences say they are.
7. Imposters (2017)
Rotten Tomatoes score: 93%
Where to watch: Prime Video, Fandango at Home
The list begins with Imposters, a well-crafted dark comedy about a con artist who seduces victims and takes their money, which, unlike many of the following shows, is currently receiving warm reviews. Unfortunately, the ratings were so low at the time of its release that the show was canceled after only two seasons.
6. Dark Matter (2015)
Rotten Tomatoes score: 89%
Where to watch: The CW
Dark Matter is often compared to a low-budget rip-off of The Expanse since both premiered in 2015. However, the show in question raised equally interesting ethical questions about the identity of the protagonists, and coupled with some good action scenes,...

Tracker’s next season will surely be diving deeper into Colter Shaw’s family past as the first season’s final episodes unveil the show’s big mystery more and more.
While initially Colter was making attempts to run away from his family issues, the penultimate episode introduced his brother Russell, portrayed by Supernatural’s star Jensen Ackles, who now has no other choice but to finally unite with Colter confronting the circumstances surrounding their father’s death years ago.
The twelfth episode, titled Off the Books, now goes in a pretty much big contrast with what the viewers saw in the first season’s pilot. Tracker’s first ever episode clearly showed Colter’s flashbacks about his father’s accidental death in the woods that, to everyone’s surprise, had something to do with his brother Russell with the latter allegedly pushing their father to his death.

Jensen Ackles and Jeffrey Dean Morgan are no strangers to one another. In fact, they have worked together on several episodes of The CW’s Supernatural before the latter left the project due to scheduling conflicts.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Tracker Season 1 Episode 12 “Off the Books.”] “Hey, little brother,” Russell (Jensen Ackles) greets Colter (Justin Hartley) when we first see him in the latest Tracker. He’s shown up at Colter’s trailer after skipping a planned meeting (so Colter did listen to their sister), and he has something that his brother needs to hear … but is he telling the truth? When the boys were younger, their father died, after falling—or being pushed—off a cliff. Colter thinks Russell did it. But, according to Russell, he didn’t. He doesn’t know if he fell or someone else pushed him, but he’s certain someone else was in the wood that night. Their father had enemies and was paranoid, Russell reminds Colter. So why did their ...

Jensen Ackles on Tracker: Colter Reunites With His Estranged Brother Russell in Exclusive Sneak Peek
The relationship between Colter and Russell Shaw is nothing like the relationship between Sam and Dean Winchester. That much is evident in TVLine’s exclusive sneak peek at Jensen Ackles’ Tracker debut.

Gotham Knights only managed to last 13 episodes before being cancelled by The CW, but given the poor reviews and ratings, there wasn't too much of an outcry from DC fans.
A group of Batman's sidekicks protecting Gotham City in the wake of his death is a cool premise, but ditching the costumes gave the series a mid-2000s feel which alienated a lot of comic book readers from the start.
We've previously heard rumblings that Jensen Ackles was being eyed to play Batman. Now, showrunners James Stoteraux and Chad Fiveash have confirmed they were given the green light to include the Dark Knight in at least one episode.
However, they had someone different in mind to don the cape and cowl.
Talking on The Showrunner Whisperer (via Multiverse of Color), Stoteraux explained, "There was a scene from The Dark Knight Returns that we wanted to do. It was Robin’s...

The first full-length trailer for Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths - Part Three has just hit (via Toonado.com), and it teases what looks to be a high-stakes finale to this animated trilogy (and the Tomorrowverse as we know it).
With the Anti-Monitor on the loose, a whole host of heroes assemble to save the Multiverse, but it looks like that will be easier said than done when they also have Lex Luthor to contend with. Several other villains are also spotted, including The Joker, Scarecrow, and Two-Face.
In terms of cameos, the trailer ends with another Batman: The Animated Series tease. Batman Beyond also appears, but perhaps the biggest surprise comes when we return to the world of the Super Friends!
The Saturday morning cartoon aired between 1973 and 1985 on ABC and was produced by Hanna-Barbera. That classic animation style returns here and we're hoping the movie has even...

If you are a TV fanatic, you've likely watched your fair share of CW shows. So, you already know that if you've seen an actor in one CW series, you've likely seen them again in another. This means you're probably already familiar with Melissa Roxburgh but don't even realize it.
Starting out in installments of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies, the actress transitioned into broadcast television the following year.
To her credit, Melissa Roxburgh has become somewhat of a sci-fi siren of the small screen, often appearing in roles on shows with fantastical elements like time travel or supernatural monsters.
In recent years, she's gained notoriety, having developed a relationship with Netflix the same way she did with the CW. However, beyond being a serial series guest star, Roxburgh has had a handful of significant film roles that have shown she is a powerhouse of talent in her own right.

Possible spoilers for "The Boys" follow.
We now have a new trailer for season 4 of bloody superhero satire "The Boys," and it looks like a full-blown supe-pocalypse is boiling. After the end of "The Boys" season 3, when Homelander (Antony Starr) killed a protestor in front of a crowd and got only cheers, he's no longer content with being a mere celebrity. No, he's reshaping the Seven into "wrathful gods." He's also Congresswoman Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit), a head-popping supe and Vice Presidential candidate, in his pocket.
Fans of "The Boys" comics (by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson) might see where this is all going. In "The Boys" volume 11 (issues #60-65), "Over the Hill with the Swords of a Thousand Men," Homelander launches a coup against the U.S. government and the Boys go to war to overthrow him. Without spoiling all the twists in between, issue #65 concludes with team leader Billy...

There has long been no shortage of fairy tales and mystical adventures on television – the broadcast network is filled with series for every taste and audience. The romantic travails of princesses intersect with dark mystical horror stories, and for every vampire saga there is a Winchester family ready to kill any evil creature.
And yet, among all these titles, one series stood out from the day it premiered – with an unusual approach, a wealth of imagination, charismatic characters, and a promising story.
Grimm, which debuted in 2011, ran for six seasons, and received an impressive 89% from critics and 90% from viewers on Rotten Tomatoes, is not just another urban fantasy series. It successfully combines a police procedural with a story about a hunter of evil spirits; each episode is dedicated to the investigation of a crime, but it's not people who are involved but monsters from different fantasy stories.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan and insects go a long way. Starting with Supernatural, the very 8th episode of the first season focuses on bugs and only those. So much so that the episode was even named after them. While the actor was not involved in the particular episode, the entire ongoing theme of the season was for the brothers to find their father, that is, John Winchester.

The saying ‘success comes to those who wait’ is relevant for many celebrities in Hollywood who have ridden the wave of failure to achieve stardom. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is an actor whose career followed a similar path. While the star was the toast of the town on television in the 2000s with shows like The Walking Dead and Supernatural to his credit, his journey to the big leagues wasn’t easy.

Twenty years ago, Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage’s breakout hit The O.C., about a group of teens coming of age in Newport Beach, premiered on Fox. By the time the 27-episode first season aired its finale in the spring of 2004, the show was the highest-rated drama on TV among adults 18 to 34 and had catapulted its stars — whose characters were affectionately known as the “Core Four” — to massive, near-overnight popularity.
It wouldn’t be the first or last young adult series in the U.S. to generate a cultural frenzy. But the industry ecosystem that birthed and defined zeitgeisty YA shows like it — 22-episode drama series with largely white casts found through in-person auditions — is vanishing. While Hollywood has several incredible horror features already, a yet-to-be-released horror movie promises no less than a thrilling horror experience by taping into the essence of Tom Cruise’s one of the most iconic movies. Directed, written, and co-produced by Zach Cregger, Weapons, is being described as tonally similar to Cruise’s 1999 drama film Magnolia.
Tom Cruise starter Magnolia (1999)
Although, the movie’s prospects certainly seem high already, what makes it even more thrilling is that similar to Cruise’s epic, Weapons too appears to be eyeing an incredible cast. After roping in the likes of Josh Brolin and Julia Garner, Alden Ehrenreich is the newest edition to the cast.

CBS’ Tracker is seemingly aiming at expanding Colter Shaw’s inner world drama with some exciting guest stars’ appearance — and so many fans are hoping to see much more than just a one-episode-long family affair.
With the recent news revealed by Tracker’s leading actor Justin Hartley himself, Jensen Ackles’ cameo in the penultimate episode of the show’s first season is getting more anticipation than everything that we’ll get to see in the finale.
Though so far nothing can be said about how big Ackles’ role will get to be in the series, the actor’s fans think his previous experience may help him land something more than just a quick cameo.
Jensen Ackles has recently been confirmed to take up the role of Russell Shaw, Colter’s alienated older brother captured in several flashbacks earlier, but the role was given to Mathew Nelson-Mahood back then.

Once set up at the Max streaming service, the TV series Dead Boy Detectives, which is based on characters Neil Gaiman created for DC Comics in the pages of The Sandman issue #25, is now calling Netflix its home, having moved away from Max last year because it “doesn’t fit with DC executives James Gunn and Peter Safran’s plans for the Dcu.” The show premiered on April 25th (you can read our review Here) – and to mark the occasion, a new addition to the team here at JoBlo.com, Kyanna Mondezie, was given the opportunity to conduct interviews with several members of the cast: George Rexstrew, Jayden Revri, Kassius Nelson, and Yuyu Kitamura. You can hear what they had to say about their experience working on the show by checking out the video embedded above. Also interviewed were series creator Steve Yockey and showrunner Beth Schwartz.

When Supernatural ended on The CW in 2020, many viewers were left with an insurmountable emotional void (and it wasn't just because of the controversial finale). The main consolation was the then-new sports drama All American, which had been on the air for two years and had become one of the most critically acclaimed shows, earning a perfect 100% score from critics on Rotten Tomatoes in its second season. What The CW still lacked, however, were impressive ratings.
That all changed in January 2021 with the release of the neo-Western action drama Walker. Not only was the new series a reboot of the iconic 1993 series starring Chuck Norris, but it was fronted by none other than Supernatural star Jared Padalecki as the legendary Texas Ranger. Each season's ratings shattered all previous records on The CW set by other projects.

Tracker has added a big name to its cast. Jensen Ackles (Supernatural) has joined the CBS Sunday night drama. He will play Russell Shaw, the estranged brother of star Justin Hartley’s Colter Shaw. It is unclear if Ackles will appear in the remaining first season episodes or if he'll be seen in the second season.
This casting news comes only weeks after Hartley announced the casting of Melissa Roxburgh (Manifest) as Colter’s younger sister, Dory.
Starring Hartley, Robin Weigert, Abby McEnany, Eric Graise, Fiona Rene, and Mary McDonnell, the Tracker series follows a lone-wolf survivalist (Hartley) as he travels the country and uses his formidable tracking skills. He helps law enforcement and private citizens in exchange for reward money.
