- TriviaWhile Gloria and Mike are preparing for their trip, Archie is reading the National Enquirer. on the front page is Jamie Farr, who played Corporal Klinger on M*A*S*H.
- GoofsArchie and Michael are discussing Michael's choice of the Poconos as their destination. Archie states that in a similar situation he took Edith to Disney World in Florida.
Disney World opened October 1, 1971 and All in the Family premiered before that, January 12, 1971. Therefore, Michael would have known about the Bunkers' trip to Disney World because they were all living under the same roof at that point. (Note: Archie taking Edith to Disney World was the event that her sudden plunge into menopause was threatening on "Edith's Problem" (1972)).

A stale Mike and Gloria episode
Gloria is concerned that the romance has gone out of her marriage when she and Mike take a trip to the Poconos.
The series is really showing it's age now, as they are recycling old ideas from earlier episodes, even mediocre ones like Season 6's Love By Appointment. The first scene shows Mike and Gloria's friends, a happy couple who are not even married. The guy is played by Terry Kiser, a good comic actor ( he appeared in many TV shows and later played the dead guy in Weekend At Bernies) but he is not given anything funny here. No real laughs here, the only time I chuckled was when Archie calls Poconos Poke-yer-nose.
