Unsatisfying conclusion to a show with potential
Joshumms19 March 2022
Maaaan this show could've been good. They really fumbled hard in the first 3 episodes with the foundations for the characters and in the end they never recovered. By this final episode I didn't care at all about the characters, I was just so disinterested. The twists are extremely lackluster and there's no satisfying conclusion to any of the characters.

Unsatisfying finale for a show that fell short of its potential
michelle-erika18 March 2022
The quality cast do their best to build tension and character from the scant script, at times chewing the scenery because there was such little meat in the plot. An elevator pitch probably sounded good - a commentary on truth in modern media through climate change and PR spin with a kidnapping twist. Execution of the idea was clumsy and, at times, nonsensical. Side quests took up screen time but went nowhere meaningful. The final episode of this mediocre show could have almost saved it with a shocking twist or revelation, but alas, we saw it coming. Rushed and poorly concluded plot points leave the viewer dissatisfied (eg how did X know Y? Does X ever go back home?). Ultimately the show suffers poor pacing throughout the season, frontloaded with filler and overwrought tension over minor matters then tied up in a hamfisted bow of unresolved threads.

Bad ending
Just-A-Girl-144 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The show was pretty good but the ending is indeed terrible. I don't know about everybody else but I do NOT watch shows like this so that I can get lectured. If I want to learn about climate change and listen to the debate about it, I'll just watch the news. I watched the show because I wanted to be entertained and not because I wanted to get a moral lecture about rights and wrongs. We all know the truth is subjective and that you can't trust anything you hear. That's nothing new and that's not what I was looking for when I decided to watch the show. I wanted to understand the characters stories and motivations and understand how it all ties together. This episode was too messy. We got half truths that don't even make sense. I get why Tara wanted Katherine to tell the truth. For her it was personal but why would Leo get along with that? And how is what she is doing any different from what Katherine has done to her father? Shaping reality to suit your agenda, hiding the truth, hurting innocent people... That's called hypocrisy! You want to get revenge, fine. That's understandable but don't pretend you're better when really you are either the same or even worse. Why was Leo involved in this? How did they get together to concoct this idiotic plan? What made Katherine suddenly realize Leo was faking it? Why did she pay Sean? Why did Tara and Aadesh run? What was the point? Would Eddie hide the truth from the authorities? If so, why? This doesn't make sense at all. Maybe I missed something but if I did (judging by the reviews) so did many others. The show was interesting enough but if you don't know how to fit all the pieces back together at the end then it's just a waste of time. The writers should worry less about the moral message the show is sending (and also try to avoid creating ridiculous twists that make no sense) and focus on giving the viewers a satisfactory ending (something that nowadays seems to be getting harder and harder to find).

Mediocre/ borderline terrible ending for a decent show
aca-8623218 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The "twist" was predictable but my biggest issue is with how they left the rest of the characters. The undercover cop knowing the truth and letting Leo and the rest get away with it makes no sense. Adesh choosing to join Daisy, a borderline sociopath who was completely fine with framing and ruining his life makes is moronic. Leo saying that Adesh and Natalie were somehow responsible for a giant corporations sins because they tried to exploit it to better their lives is beyond idiotic and hypocritical. If anything Copeland, the guy with power and an ACTUAL murderer who Leo defends, is way more culpable. No great resolution or reflection for Natalie. She just gets to go to prison for the rest of her life. No idea what the show is trying to say about any of our truly sympathetic characters. It all just felt rushed.

Completely nonsensical ending, total letdown
incandescent18 March 2022
I don't often write reviews but the final episode of this shown was just astonishingly poor. It made absolutely no sense at all. Only one character's actions (Tilson's) were understandable. The rest just made no sense. Did the writers get bored before they finished the script?

I'm really annoyed I wasted hours watching the seven preceding episodes.

What an appalling final episode
JT-258619 March 2022
Enjoyed much of the series, but this final episode was a complete travesty. Ignore the reviews that point to political correctness (the QAnon crowd will always try to use that as an excuse). The reality is that it was just ... badly ... written. No closure on anything; confusin about why certain characters acted the ways they did and their motivations. I'm sorry to say, save yourself the wasted time. This plot conclusion was not worthy of the actors or the Apple TV+ name.

Why
hoseinghanavati5 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Questions I have are why? Just why???

Why should Tara revenge Katherine like this?! Like ruining whole two countries to just know who is her father? Or maybe she knew? So what she wanted to know?

Or I didn't understand why Natalie killed Martin?

But the directing was good and had excitement.

Time I will never get back
crsm-7367818 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Feel like I've wasted my time watching this show just to have it end with so many unresolved issues . The psycho gets away with ruining peoples lives with no consequences. Innocent people died for no reason.

Was really hoping for a better ending to what I thought was a really good series. So extremely disappointing!

Awful last episode
kashmiester19 March 2022
Just poor, trying to wrap it up but the story and pace is all over the place and very confusing, this last episode is hilariously bad.

After being interested after the first few episodes the quality of this series slowly went down but not too bad, still watchable but this last one takes the Mick.

what a disappointment

Incredible show where I never knew which end was up but the conclusion was awful. Go back and rewrite the final episode.

Did the original writers quit?

Awful
lohmean22 March 2022
Can't believe I wasted my time on this. First few episodes were interesting. Then I felt I had to stick with it just to see it through, as the episodes became stale and uninteresting. They then somehow brought it down a notch further with one of the worst, pointless, and ridiculous endings I've been seen.

Very disappointing end
ultra-taya4 May 2022
Without this episode, Suspicion would be an enjoyable thriller. But the way the secrets are revealed is too disappointing and has nothing to do with the whole story. It felt like the producers wanted to make a twist nobody would ever expect. Too bad the twists didn't fit the other 7 episodes. That's why the final episode felt so wrong.

I was starting to think this was overly long but no it's just awful
kdollarbill-8476419 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I always worry with complex stories like this, if they will be able to land it. To tie up all the loose ends and fill the holes in the story. The problem here is they didn't even try. The perpetrators were all lovely young people working for a cause so it's okay to stop the world and kill off a few people because YOU thought you were right. Immature political rubbish.

Terrible ending, made me hate the show
emily-uk29 April 2023
I feel like they wrote the show without an ending in mind and just threw this together last minute. I honestly think it would have been better to have no closure at all, just kill everyone and we are left with a mystery. Honestly would have been better than the unrealistic mental ending that they came up with.

I just have no words for how utterly disappointed I am with this last episode. I feel guilty for recommending this show to my friends and will be immediately taking the recommendation back.

Have shows learnt nothing from Lost and Game of Thrones. The ending is the most important part of a show. A bad ending will mean your show is never rewatched. Get the ending right and your show will love forever.

Poor ending
simonquattrocchi17 April 2022
So disappointed with the ending, if it was suppose to be a plot twist. Not a good one. Just became messy and unrealistic.

I though they had the public preview these shows before the release. Do they just provide positive feedback, or does real criticism go ignored.

Climate Change? Really?
R-Moskovitz2 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The MacGuffin is a 30 year old "scientific" report predicting terrible results from fossil fuels that was covered up. Of course the climate change didn't happen, but if the public had only known, Al Gore might have been elected and ... oh please stop me.

meet the new boss...
kyrenaika6 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
... same as the old boss

The new method now being to show a few decent episodes before tying it all up with a pretty ribbon of biased lecturing instead of the hackneyed sprinkling method.

No one is objective. Everyone has an agenda. Every "truth" is cherry-picked according to the current wholesale value.

Science is about experimentation, cause and effect, hit and miss. Some things stick (formulas, attributes, reactions) while some are still being piddled with. Data is always questionable and entirely fallible.

Those in power will lie, cheat and steal to maintain it. Those without will lie, cheat and steal to obtain it.

So what have we learned? The new truth is no better than the old truth. It's just a different bowl of cherries.

Atum-Amum7 May 2022
The first few episodes spent a lot of time on finger pointing but no character or plot development. By the last episode the whole plot falls apart. The reasoning for maintaining the lie is full of holes. Very disappointed.

Unmasked
bobcobb30115 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The show had its highs and lows, but it went out on a very low low.

Absolutely ridiculous turn of events here, and just a boring hour to conclude what had a lot of promise at one point.

Disappointed
shahadaab27 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I excluded the option of Leo kidnapping himself because it is an easy guessing and over consumed! I thought it will be something surprisingly creative!!

But realizing he is the mastermind is really ........... This is the only part I fully understood from this finale! Otherwise the rest is a total chaos!

Natily and her family were the most affected from this drama! Ruined her wedding and her life! Turning her to a killer

And Tara was one of the masterminds and she just walked like she did nothing! I really hate her!

And it looks like Eddi didn't tell the whole truth to the police! But why he didn't

Was Kathrin a part of it to promote her company? What is Sean working for and why he's always everywhere? Adesh will keep running listening to Tara after ruinening his life? ............ ??

Disappointed 💔🙃
