Paramount+ opened the floodgates to purge content from its streaming platform last week when it removed Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, The Game, Queens of the Universe, and Star Trek: Prodigy.
Deadline reported Monday that all five seasons of Inside Amy Schumer had been banished from the service, with no telling whether the show will return at another destination.
Also removed is Tell Me a Story, which was canceled after two seasons in 2020.
The anthology from Kevin Williamson had previously been leased to The CW to help shore up its schedule during the pandemic.
Blood & Treasure, which began its life as a CBS original before being placed on a multi-year hiatus to return on Paramount+ before being canceled, has also been removed.

After a year of questionable decisions from streaming services that involve password sharing, app overhauls, advertisement tiers, removal of content and so on, the bubble is somewhat bursting as companies look to regain profitability through the purging of shows. It was not long ago that news broke about the streaming platform, Paramount+, canceling a number of projects, including Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, Star Trek: Prodigy, The Game and Queen of the Universe. Not only is the streamer canceling these movies and shows, but they’re removing the titles from the application as well to reap the benefits of a content write-down.
Deadline now reports that more shows have been put on the chopping block over at Paramount+. One of the bigger names that is getting purged is the return of the sketch comedy show Inside Amy Schumer, which had returned to continue its run with a fifth season in six years.

Inside Amy Schumer returned to Paramount+ after six years for its fifth season – a season that Paramount was hoping could score an Emmy nomination to compete against the likes of SNL and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.
However, Emmy voters hoping to take a last minute watch on Paramount+ before tonight’s voting deadline will have been disappointed after it was one of the latest titles to be scrapped from the streaming service.
Paramount+ has purged a phalanx of programming today including a number of original series, original movies and Nickelodeon content.
The low-profile move comes after Paramount revealed last week that it was canceling and scrapping four series: Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, Star Trek: Prodigy, The Game and Queen of the Universe.

Popular and pre-existing IP has reigned supreme in Hollywood as most studios and streamers look to continue the success of former franchises for an easy win. But that’s not a trend Nicole Dow is aiming to pursue.
As the head of TV for Marsai Martin’s Genius Entertainment, her formula isn’t overly complicated. Dow breaks down their development slate into three specific categories: kids and family, young adult, and new adult.
The latter of which is a less explored territory. The genre first came about within the last 15 year — and only recently gained steam online with authors like Colleen Hoover (“It Ends With Us”) and Casey McQuiston leading the charge. As the name explains, new adult covers the emerging adult generation between the ages of 18-29.

For those fans waiting on the culmination of Janine and Mr. Eddies' potentially tea-filled podcast interview, Episode 12 did not provide the tea.
Abbott Elementary Season 2 Episode 12, while light-hearted and fun, did not pursue a romantic storyline in any measure. Janine and Gregory existed in entirely different plotlines for the episode's duration.
Those shipping their potential love match and that awkward non-hug of Episode 11 will be sorely disappointed.
The episode did, however, showcase the return of Orlando Jones, who the internet had deemed Tyler James Williams' adult doppelganger years ago when he starred in Everybody Hates Chris as a child.
Episode 12 brought his militant landscaping father back to town for a large-scale lawn care job.
While in town, he seemingly wants to get a tour of his son's beloved job, even though historically, he had despised and disapproved of his son working in education.
Gregory, known to be deeply afraid of his father,...

Frank Skinner has received an MBE in the New Year Honours list for his services to entertainment.
The broadcaster and comedian, 65, began his career in 1987 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Skinner – whose real name is Christopher Graham Collins – returned to the festival four years later in 1991 and was feted with one of comedy’s most prestigious accolades, the Perrier Award.
Speaking to the Pa news agency, Skinner said that he has held off on telling those closest to him about his MBE in case the news turned out to be the result of “some sort of administrative error”.
“Well, to be honest, I haven’t told anyone at all, even those closest to me, because I still thought there might be some sort of administrative error,” he said.
“But I think it’s brilliant. I deal mainly in laughs and applause and they disappear into the air quite quickly. So...

Marsai Martin is on the mend after having surgery to remove an ovarian cyst.
The “Black-ish” star took to her Instagram Story on Saturday to reveal that she went under the knife to remove the “large” cyst, which she said has been bothering her for over four years.
As defined by the Mayo Clinic, an ovarian cyst is solid or fluid-filled sac or pocket (cyst) within or on the surface of an ovary. While most ovarian cysts disappear in a few months, they can cause complications if they don’t.
“If you missed my live, long story short, I had surgery for my large ovarian cyst that gave me constant pain for 4+ years,” the 18-year-old actress wrote, alongside a black-and-white video from inside the hospital. “I really don’t remember any of this sh*t because of the anesthesia, lol. But I will say that I am very grateful to...

Photo: 'Fantasy Football' Over the years, there have been some memorable comedic sports family movies in the 1990s which brought the attention of sports fans and families such as ‘Angels in the Outfield,’ ‘Space Jam,’ and ‘Air Bud.’ There is also a 2000s film ‘Like Mike’ in which Lil Bow Wow stars as an orphan who wears Michael Jordan’s shoes and is able to play basketball like him. However, there haven't been a lot of sports movies that were blended with the fantasy genre. Studio companies were focusing more on realistic but suitable stories for families like ‘Bend it Like Beckham.’ The only sports fantasy movie that was heard of in the 2010s was Dwayne Johnson’s ‘The Tooth Fairy’ where he plays a hockey player that turns into a tooth fairy. However, in our Covid-stricken times, there has been the release of ‘Space Jam 2: A New Legacy,...

Marsai Martin and Kelly Rowland may be separated in age by over two decades, but the gifted stars have a lot in common - including their new Paramount+ movie "Fantasy Football." Jason Lee has said that he was “violated on so many levels” by David Baddiel doing Blackface.
In the Nineties, Baddiel and Frank Skinner would ridicule footballers on the BBC show Fantasy Football League.
One repeat subject of their tormenting was Nottingham Forest player Lee, who Baddiel would portray as dim-witted while wearing a pineapple on top of his head to imitate Lee’s hairstyle. In one occasion, Baddiel wore Blackface while impersonating Lee.
The pair come face to face for Baddiel’s new documentary Jews Don’t Count, with Lee talking in a new interview about the frosty meeting.
“Before Baddiel, I was receiving abuse for my skin colour or ‘You’re not good enough’. I was desensitised to most abuse,” Lee told The Times. “But the situation with Baddiel was a whole new layer of abuse. Baddiel Blacked up.”
He added: “So many people were complicit. BBC2. It’s selling,...

Kelly Rowland knows she's a superstar. On Nov. 16, fans of the "Dilemma" singer were quick to come to her defense after a radio host suggested that she "played second" fiddle to Beyoncé at the start of her career during her Destiny's Child days. "You were with Beyoncé, and not only did you not fight [her being in the spotlight], it seems like you really loved the position that you were in and took it seriously," "Hot 97" host Peter Rosenberg told Rowland earlier this week. In response to implications that her music career paled in comparison to Beyoncé's from the start, the singer set the record straight with a beautiful response.
"Here's the thing: light attracts light. I am light. I am a beautiful brown shining light."
