Sharper than you think

I really enjoyed this film. I love Sebastian Stan, Julianne Moore is always amazing and it was a fun film to watch. Really, if you want Marvel etc fine, but this is an enjoyable, reasonably paced, well acted and nicely shot film. 😀 I really don't understand the low scores.

It is not too long which is a bonus these days - the writing allows us to explore the characters and develops the story but with no filler.

I can recommend it as a comfortable watch with family- there isn't any dodgy sex scenes or gratuitous violence. It's an intriguing story that keeps you guessing right up until the end.

A beautiful love story

This film is so exquisitely shot, the backdrop of Scotland works its magic but also the interior sets look like paintings. The gentle unfolding story moves at a perfect pace with minimal dialogue. I loved it and would definitely recommend you to watch.

The acting in this film is amazing. I can't believe they made this so quickly. It is more about what they don't say and what you don't see that matters.

Lazy and tired

This is an unimaginatively written serial killer mini series. All the women are sexualised, including the children. Start with the vision that the cop has of the murder victims - all young, beautiful, partly clothed and gasping for breath. His wife is available for his sexual needs and despite having 3 children has the body of a super model. Boring 😴

Miscast mess

Warning: Spoilers
The character of Dr. Doolittle is thoroughly unlikeable, he just seems self absorbed and unpleasant . The part should have gone to Michael Sheen who at least would have had the accent right. I also thought the baddie was Simon Pegg initially- which would have worked. Also the young girl who is set up as a love interest for the boy? 🤢 The accents were all over the place, my children who are 10 and 8 didn't have a clue about that the Queen was being poisoned. Really disappointed but sorry, too curlingly bad. 👎
