Bheeshmaparvam (2022)
One of the best mass+class movies from Mollywood!
I watched Bheeshma Parvam with high expectations and it delivered more than I could've ever imagined. Amal Neerad managed to engage the audience throughout the whole movie by giving the proper treatments to all the characters(set up everyone's backstories in an interesting manner and portrayed woman properly unlike other mass movies like annatthe...) The casting in this movie was perfect. Everybody fulfilled their roles perfectly and some of the best performances were from Mammukka, who was superb as usual. Although the movie wasn't demanding of his acting prowess, the actor in him still shined as you can deduct from his subtle voice modulation and classy mannerisms. Soubin as an underdog was outstanding and Shine Tom Chacko, Farhaan, Dileesh and Sudev Nair were perfect in their villainous roles. People say this movie is The Godfather infused with the Mahabharata but as someone who hasn't read the Mahabharat I can't say if this is true. However as someone who has watched the Godfather Trilogy multiple times, I can say that this movie was heavily influenced by the original Godfather. But Amal Neerad has made Bheeshma so unique with his cinematography, his way of portraying characters and etc. Last but not least Sushin Shyam's soundtrack was pure bliss. His music elevated the scenes in the movie to another level and they were placed in the right scenes and wasn't overused like what had happened in Shylock. All of his bgms and songs are on loop in my playlist. All in all, everyone in this movie contributed and made this one helluva entertaining yet impeccable movie. Hatsoff to the entire team!

Family Entertainer
Nice family entertainer. Never have I seen a more clean movie. There's a little violence but other than that there's no swearing or anything. Overall really funny movie, much better than spiderman now way home if you're looking for something to watch with your family.
The Lion King (2019)
Very good
Disney you've done a marvelous job! The CGI is stunning and so life-like which makes add to the entertainment factor. James Earl Jones' voice is as good as ever and dare I say better than in the original. I also liked Chiwetel Ejiofor's voice a tad more than Jeremy Irons'(still his was priceless) because Chiwetel Ejiofor voice sounds more evil and menacing which matches scar's character perfectly. But I think that's where the strengths of this movie ends. Other voice actors like Beyonce, Donald Glover just weren't it. They lacked expressions and now that I'm talking about expressions, the characters like Simba and scar simply couldn't provide enough emotion because of the lack of facial expressions which cannot be blamed on Disney though, because afterall they were going for realistic visuals and lions don't grin or smile as they do I'm the cartoon world, so I guess I can't complain there. The next issue I had was also the most annoying and heartbreaking. They ruined the characters Timon and Pumbaa! They were funny I'm the original and in the remake they amped up the jokes so much they turned out to be unfunny. The last thing where the original showed it's superiority were the songs. The songs sounded better to me I'm the original but that may be just me. So the original was better but better doesn't mean the remake is bad. This "live-action" lion king was pretty enjoyable and after all it is the lion king, of course it can be enjoyed.
Uppum Mulakum (2015)
Went from being the best to horrible
As the title suggests this sitcom declined because at first most episodes were hilarious due to the performances of the leads Balu, Neelu, Mudiyan, Sreekuttan and Lechu and not to mention the kids(shiva and keshu) had lesser roles back then, later the kids became the back bone of the comedic situations and they just weren't funny enough, they just came off as cringey. This happened around episode 600 but even in the 600's some episodes were funny, it was was the 700's where the word funny could not be used to describe the show .Honestly reminds me of the Simpsons, iconic at first and then became bland.
Godzilla vs. Kong (2021)
Should be renamed to Godzilla and Kong
I was more excited for this movie than the synder cut and the new upcoming spiderman movie but it didn't quite deliver. The visual effects and the camera work was superb but the plot felt recycled. The same old story where a tech company does something overboard and it goes out of their hands and the fact that Godzilla and Kong barely fought each other as well, it all felt old, nothing new was being delivered here.
Shylock (2020)
Fanboy movie
I watched this movie when it first came out and then I rewatched it just yesterday
...unfortunately. This movie is filled with enemies that fly away after being touched, same old comedy and has the same old revenge plot we can see in many of Vijay's movies and when we see it in the year of 2020 it gets tiring. Mammukka, Rajkiran and the two villains (Siddique and Shajon) were the only positives of this movie.
Drishyam 2 (2021)
One of the few times the sequel lives up to its predecessor
Before releasing the review please note that there is a part of this review that reveals one of the scenes because it was crucial to explain a flaw...
Drishyam 2 was a well written and well directed movie filled with superb performances. First half is definitely is slow and subtle but after the 1hr 10min mark the thrill starts taking place and then you'll have goosebumps till the movie is done. This was probably Lalettan's best performance in recent times and his family, Meena, Esther, Ansiba and the side cast including Murali Gopy was solid and did not make me feel uncomfortable for 1 second throughout the entire movie. Although there were some improbable elements like waiting for the remains to be uncovered and then replacing it without any visible struggle but the movie made up for those things with everything else.
