Pramface (2012–2014)
6/10
Funny but awkward

Warning: Spoilers
Actually I am somewhat surprised there isn't an American knockoff of this show. There are some very funny moments Dylan Edwards as Mike actually steals the show as the best friend, know-it-all, loser who can't get a girl period. The rest of the cast is fine but Anna Chancellor is probably the face you will recognize if you are a fan of BBC TV. The title of the second episode actually sums up the premise of the show: "Pregnant Rapist." Laura who is 18 gets drunk at a party, parental rebellion, and has sex with an underage boy and of course gets pregnant. Actually that "sex" scene is one of the funniest filmed. Then the big question is will she have the baby or not. If she does her upper class parents' plan for her future college and law degree will be ruined. As there are two years of this series, you know the choice. So can a female predator, self-defined, find happiness with a underage father from the wrong side of the tracks. I will take credit for some being a tad prescient as there is now an American ripoff entitled Welcome to the Family staring Mike" O'Malley as an MD whose ditz daughter gets knocked up by the Latino son of a gym owner; however, the writing is insipid and the characters are dull unimaginative stereotypes.
